That awkward moment when you realize you still have a huge tray full of basil seedlings and you forgot to transfer them to bigger pots.

At least they look pretty :)

I’m pretty sure you can still sort of break them up in bunches and put them in in small pots. I do that with mine too and they seem fine.

      1. Gonna try it. They look really good and healthy so it would be a sin not to try.

How beautiful, especially in B&W!  Lots of pesto to come methinks!

You really have become an extraordinary gardener! I’m sure those basil plants are still young enough to transplant. I’d give it a try anyway.

the ‘kill-anything-green’ girl,.. Not to worry Kay, make up a recipe that calls for baby basil
      for the WIN
BTW It’s not dead yet just gone all black & white… okay sic

      1. Omg Dave, you’re right! It’s all black.. it’s rotten! :)

Update on the Peace sign… or hope this comes together. A little town of 2 to 3,000 just 25KM
north of me called Ladysmith does this Christmas light up thing every year.
A friend of mine is in the volunteer fire Dept. there and he helps with setting up the lights
I told him about my plight and he suggested the town takes it and puts it on a
public building or bank or summtin like that.  So it still might get to see the lights
of happy people smiling at it again.. keep your fingers crossed..
Wine and me are on the way.. *vink*

Adman Dave on Jun 19, 2012 @ 7:45 pm Reply
      1. Can’t tell you how glad I am to hear that. It just isn’t Christmas without that peace sign, really. Having you post those shots really marked it Christmas season for a lot of us :)
I’ll still send you out with a camera to take pictures then, of course.

Wish I could have bought that house of yours. It’s gorgeous.

One other silly note… an actress named Pamela Anderson
was born in Ladysmith. She’s a borderline porn star and with big boobs.
She never did much for me but HEY  millions of others liked her on Baywatch etc.
it’s the towns other claim to fame.. or not.. *wink*

      1. I really hope you’re not referring to David Hasselhoff. That would really make me shudder. I do have excellent taste in men, thank you very much :)

Not to worry Jack Kay has a ‘thing’ for us dirty ole men.. she’s been picking on me for 12 years now and i gotta say
I’ve  loved every moment of it. As for Baywatch no comment, as for basil it’s on my
kitchen window sill year round couldn’t live with out it.

      1. No way that’s 12 years! I haven’t even been on LJ for 12 years. I think it’s more like 5 or 6 years :)

Speaking of lj, got a Plaxo reminder yesterday saying I shouldn’t forget to send  card to Inspectorjury for his birthday today. Hate it when things like that happen.

      1. Seriously? That long? Kinda sad hardly anyone uses it anymore. But then again, I barely even use Facebook.

Completely forgot I have a permanent account there :)

I thought it was kinda neat that we joined only a week apart as for becoming friends
you might be right about the 5 or 6 year thing but my feeble mind seems to think
we met longer ago.. oh well, no matter I enjoy your friendship now and that’s
      what counts.

Yeah the old L-Jay  gang seems to have migrated to FB and Google+ amongst
others. It’s not the same but that’s life. I still have Marshamn to pick on and a
few others from the old gang pop in to see who’s around then leave again.

Keep on cookin Kay.. chat later.. (((HUGZZZ))).. Dave
