They’ll Make Me Go To Rehab!

And not only because my intentions to eat healthier in 2012 already seem to have morphed themselves into something quite he opposite. I’ve failed 5 years in a row now!

But it’s not my fault. Not completely. They keep coming up with these kinds of dessert. Like this dessert of the month, Zeeuwse bolus pudding. They’re a Dutch pastry; a spiral dough drizzled with treacle, brown sugar and cinnamon.

They turned the whole shebang into a pudding and added cinnamon sauce just to torture me and watch me fail.

Which brings me to my second—and completely new—addiction: Hipstamatic. I’ve toyed with it ever since I got it from the iTunes store. This app is so much fun!

But don’t worry, I won’t be posting all kinds of seriously edited shots from now on.

What’s your favorite: Instagram or Hipstamatic?

I had yummy Zeeuwse bolus for the first time on a weekendje weg in Zeeland this Christmas. Not sure how the Mona toetje is, but if it’s anything like the real thing can’t blame you for falling off the wagon! They are SOOOO delicious!

I have both. However, I use Instragram the most because I can post to Twitter & Facebook :)

Hipstamatic has some very cool “lenses” that you can download and use to make your pictures look awesome though.

      1. But you can also post straight from Hipstamatic to twitter, Facebook and even Flickr! (and a couple other options)

I have both Instagram and Hipstamatic. I like both but I’m using Instagram a whole lot more. And yes you can post from either of the two to different social media but Instagram IS a social media thing by itself… I think that’s the biggest difference between the two..

I think it’s pretty hard to eat healthy when the weather is cold. It’s summer here in New Zealand so I’m eating sandwiches, smoothies, salads and juices today and it’s fairly easy to eat healthy and light. Hot desserts in the heart of winter isn’t a bad thing – it’s wonderful.

As for Insta and Hipsta, I don’t use either. I feel that they make bad photos look passable. I’d rather work harder at producing good photos than to blanket a filter look over everything. For someone with your photography skills and talent there’s no need to use these filters.
