You have to see this. Yesterday I received the sweetest personalized gift, ever!
As a special thank you for doing the Windows Phone 7 giveaway on my blog, Microsoft sent me this amazing keepsake: a gorgeous personalized box.
I was so touched by all the work they had obviously put into it. Face it, in this hectic era we live in, you just don’t expect a big multinational corporation to browse your blog, use several personal items on there, take them and weave them into this amazing present.
I don’t think I’m making any sense at all—nothing new there—so instead of rambling on I’m just going to show you.
Here it is. It’s a pretty big, heavy, wooden box. This here is the front.

Technically speaking it would be perfect for storing little items. But I’m just going to display it, not use it.
This part represents the phone. It’s all behind glass, hence the reflection.

This part represents the People part of the phone. Which is a phone feature where you can also drag Facebook into. See how they’re all food related? So many details.

This is me! Just how neat is that? Those are actual recipes on my site. Everything is hand-written, even the tiny chalkboard text is hand-written.

This Pictures section really blew me away. It was all there: Jayden’s photo, my photo, several recipe photos and even a can of Pringles!

Call me crazy, but this is probably the best present I’ve received in a really long time.

Who would have thought about that a huge company would do something like that. It’s great !
How cool! It’s amazing that a huge company like Microsoft would do something so very personal. I’ve always loved that company, now even more.
I never liked Microsoft much, but i’ve got to say that this is a very nice thing to do. Great gift.
WOW Kay I bet that is the best gift you have received only because of the time that a huge corporation had someone put into it.
Gal, that was really nice. Someone at Microsoft clearly likes what you do. And I can see why. You do stunning work.
How very cool!
Wow…maybe they’re changing. I’ve always thought they were inherently evil, but who knows now. That is a beautiful gift, and very thoughtful. :)
Special, really special.
Wow! Microsft really went all out!
I’m with the Microsoft haters (tho’ I use their products every day and grudgingly appreciate them) – this is quite the gift.
Loving your blog.
