YummySoup! Giveaway!

YSG

Thanks for entering, everyone! Random.org gave me comment #12 Pam Schwartz , and comment #57 Jenna ! I hope you will enjoy YummySoup! every bit as much as I do, but I’m sure you will!

Contest has ended!

Thanks a million for all the software tips you guys gave me as I took the leap from pc to iMac.

As it turns out I’m definitely a Mac kinda gal. Doesn’t come as a total surprise to you, does it? Downside is that it’s costing me a small fortune because every time I tell myself I’m really done now, I run into yet another program that I just cannot live without.

One of those programs is YummySoup!. What is it? YummySoup! is a recipe manager that I discovered after someone mentioned it to me in a comment. I found it, installed it and oh wow, this software was made for me. I’m not parting with it, ever.

It’s awesome. From the fun way it displays the recipes, the thumbnail browsing, to the web browser that makes collecting online recipes crazy simple.

The layout offers various themes, one of them is a scrapbook style that I love so much. There’s a weekly meal planner where you can drag recipes into and add notes to as well. Plus, there are amazing print templates. Lots of fun stuff.

Fun detail:

YummySoup! comes with a set of default recipes. Pretty soon those will be Kayotic Kitchen recipes. I gave the software producer, Ken Humbard, the green light to use some of my recipes and he’s working on it right now as we speak. Saves me time on importing my own recipes (winks).

And in return Ken told me I could give away 2 free copies of YummySoup! to you here on Kayotic Kitchen! (Mac OS X only)

To enter, simply answer the question below:

“How do you collect/manage your recipes?”

No entries after Monday January 17, and only one entry per person, please!

To Video Tutorial. Or Not to Video Tutorial.

Been trying out some stuff on the iMac and I’m in love, people! Madly, passionately, head over heels in love. Having so much fun with it. Not sure why I waited this long to make the transfer, there was nothing to worry about—I feel right at home. It’s all so easy and intuitive. Anyway, to make a long story short; I ran into some great video capturing software and wanted…
