Sunny Days and Kiddy Farms

Children's Farm 2011

When I stepped outside yesterday morning and felt the sun shining on my face, I told the kid to grab his coat and get into the car—we were off to the children’s farm.

Not just to see the animals—though he lives for animals—but they also have a really neat playground where it’s always crowded. Parents sit there and bask in the sun, out of the wind, chilling out while those rugrats run around wearing themselves out the point of exhaustion.

Which is exactly the point where any sensible parent would want them to be. Makes for easy bedtime!

I brought my camera and, boy, was I glad I did. Got some great shots out of it. Mainly family album stuff that I won’t bore you with here, but also some fun and edited-to-heck type of photography.

So sorry for those of you still stuck with inches of snow and temperatures below freezing-point. But tell ya what, I’ll just enjoy the sun for you, too! I’m sweet like that.

It really was a gorgeous day, hopefully the first of many more. This winter has been a long one.

The noise these creatures make is amazing. If I’ll ever become a multi multi multi millionaire I plan on getting a couple of these fellas to protect the premises!

This was one seriously goofy-looking donkey that lived up to his reputation of not being the brightest crayon in the box.

This bee house reminded me of the Wild West. Not that I’ve ever been to the Wild West. I only go by what I see in movies and read in books and we all know that’s 100% true.

Nope, that is not Photoshop.

I managed to position myself in a way that I could capture the rainbow rising from the water. Compromising positions, mind you! The things I do for photography.

You owe me one!

I have a strange fascination for bird houses. And Buddha statues. And rosaries. Aside from that I like to think I’m pretty normal.

And for photographing old walls. It makes for such pretty pictures.

Try it, go outside and photograph a really old, worn-out, wall. You’ll see what happens.

Also a huge fan of textures. When theres rust, there’s Kay.

Okay, so that came out sounding so wrong on so many levels, but you catch my drift, right?

Here’s the face I love most. Right after he threw a penny into the well I caught him with his eyes closed making a wish.

I hope they all come true. But that’s my wish.

Testing the Waters

Testing the new snapshot camera at the Children’s Farm in Gouda. Must say I was duly impressed!
