Pizza Teaser

Pizza

Nom nom nom.

Some of you knew this was gonna happen the moment you laid eyes on the baking stone, right? What can I say? It almost forced me to come up with the best pizza dough ever. Yes, EVER! Pizza is important at my house so this is a really big deal.

It was rough, the pressure was high but I survived and there’s a slight chance I pulled it off. Heck, I know I pulled it off. It was absolutely perfect, if I say so myself. Okay, enough with all the modesty: this crust was light, fluffy with a slight hint of sweetness and just the right amount of salt. Yum.

We were burning up the last coals in the egg, so the stone should have been a wee bit hotter. Now that would have made the pizza utterly perfect, but this wasn’t too shabby either.

But it was the pizza crust I was testing here. And the sauce. They were so good!

I promise I’ll shoot both recipes as soon as I’m back home.

You see, I didn’t just mean to torment you by rubbing pizza in your face—well, I do have a cruel streak—but I mainly wanted to let you know why emails or comment questions will go unanswered. Tomorrow morning I’ll be going on vacation with my family! I am so ready for nothing but fun and family time, and family time is sacred to me, which means next to no pc time.

Postings will continue, so don’t think you’re off the hook! I’ll probably check in once or twice, briefly, but I won’t really be around. Have a great week, everyone. Stay safe and happy.

Love,

Kay

    @ KrazyKook:

Afraid you’ll have to wait a bit longer. I just shot the recipe and turning it into a three-in-one for next week: crust, sauce and seasoning recipes all coming up!
