Had I known what a huge hit these burlap storage bags would be, I would have bought a dozen sets of them. Two dozen! I did manage to get my hands on one extra set, so one last give away!

If you want to enter, just answer the following question:
“What’s your favorite BBQ dish/side dish?”

No entries after Tuesday March 20, and only one entry per person, please!

Chicken (smoked/bbq) is very good.  Good smoked chicken promotes bad thoughts.
It makes me think that eating half or a whole chicken isn’t a bad idea!  Side dish: potato salad.

Wine of course, but isn’t that a side dish for everything?

I toss fresh quartered carrots with whole peeled garlic cloves, olive oil and S&P in a tin pan and grill until soft and slightly charred. It’s a huge hit here.

I enjoy baked potatoes with any BBQ  or a good caesar salad.

It’s gotta be cole slaw – a bit sweet, a lot vinegary, and crunchy to the max!

Gotta be the potato salad.  No BBQ is right without it.

Creamy potato salad, or baked beans or slaw or onion rings – can’t chose just one! Well, maybe sliced tomatoes out of the garden!

I make a chickpea, jalapeno, tomato salad with a garlicky lemon vinaigrette that is amazing.  I also love homemade potato salad and homemade cole slaw.  I love crunch so something crunchy.  It’s really going to depend on which bbq it is.  Not helpful I know.  Sorry.  :(

Au-ugh!  Do I really have to pick a favorite??  Well lets see…. I make a pretty authentic “style” (in taste)  Greek Pasta Salad that is my family favorite and and is requested by friends of mine at their barbeques.   Next favorite is always fresh grilled corn on the cob! As well as molasses baked beans!  Oh and a really good fruity jello salad or a marsh-mellowly ambrosia salad will satisfy me. And last but not least, slices of fresh watermelon to end on.
I could go…….if it is a particularly warm day, when the sun goes down, all the kids get out the marshmallow sticks and toast marshmallow over the grill or fire to make S’mores (a treat made with marshmallows, graham crackers and a piece of chocolate) a favorite at BBQ’s, camping or at the beach.
It’s really hard to pick a favorite! It’s just easier to “say a favorite meal is to barbeque” than it is to pick a favorite side dish ;^)

Boring and not unexpected, I love beans as a side to BBQ.  I’m so disappointed I didn’t win last time, so here’s crossing my fingers for this time.

BBQ ribs with Uncle Chris’ homemade BBQ sauce.  Socially acceptable side is Mom’s baked potato casserole, but to be honest, I love hot fresh French bread dredged thru the BBQ sauce when no one is watching.

Corn on the cob! So good when when cook them in the husk on the bbq! Potato salad is a close second.
