More fun kitchen gadgets from the Fonq cooking section! And no, they’re not paying me to promote them; I just have a deep-seated love for stores that sell neat kitchen gadgets!
I must have lived under a rock, because I completely missed these handy kitchen helps made by Joseph Joseph. They look like a million bucks (I take photos of food, cut me some slack) and come in all colours of the rainbow.
This colander reminds me of a fruit and vegetable crate, only way more trendy… and dishwasher proof.

But here’s the kicker; it’s foldable. So when you open it, it’s flat as a pancake.

Especially for us Dutchies with our small houses, things like these can be a major space saver. Most of you reading this have a kitchen the size of a regular Dutch livingroom. I’m not kidding.
A colander is something most of use on a daily basis, but it sure takes up a lot of room. I now keep it in the cabinet underneath the kitchen sink.

This chop2pot from the same series is amazing for foodbloggers. You chop your food on it…

But when you squeeze the handle, the sides of the board fold up and you can easily transfer the chopped foods to your pans.

Making it perfect for when you also have to make step-by-step photos, even though I still prefer to chop on wood. I opted for black because it absorbs the light and puts the focus on the food I photograph on top of it.
All in all, I’m really happy with these new finds. What was the last kitchen gadget you bought that you now cannot live without anymore?

Nice! Thanks for sharing new ideas!
I also have a tiny kitchen (my entire house is less than 650 square feet), so I don’t have many specialized gadgets. But I like the idea of a folding colander…mine is always tumbling off the shelf it shares with a pot and a baking sheet!
Het laatste wat ik kocht was een eiwitscheider! Zo makkelijk!
Wow. Colanders take us SO much room. This is great! Thanks for sharing.
