Icy Weather

Nov28-2010-01

It’s cold here. Really cold. Expecting lots of snow tomorrow, just as we’re driving home. It makes for amazing photos though when everything’s covered with that white glistening powder and is then shot against a clear blue sky.

Whatever you do, get up close and get that sky in your composition! Even if it means getting down on your knees in snow, sleet and ice and getting pitiable glares and eye-rolling from your 4-year-old.

The blueness of the sky will make everything you photograph pop out so much more.

We have beautiful snow (and sometimes irritating to deal with).  I’d love to have a shot with a beautiful blue background but all we have here in Montana are clouds and more clouds of snow and more snow…

Yes that is a beautiful picture. I have a shoot and point camera which makes okay pictures. Nothing close to yours. I have been looking at a nikon D3100 but they are so expensive “sigh” :(
