I just made this and it was delicious. I made asparagus as a side dish. The flavors were great and I didn't have to over-season this like most recipes. I will be making this more often.
I have very picky eaters in my house and this one was a hit with all of them.
Thanks for the recipe!

I halved this recipe for my boyfriend and myself the other night. DELICIOUS. So creamy and scrumptious but not overly heavy. Because I was lazy, I prepped the dish - from sautéing to baking in the sauce - in one oven-proof, covered casserole. I also just topped the whole finished product with some minced thyme and scallions (and with the onion/apple/mushrooms), convincing myself there was enough veg to save myself the trouble of preparing a side item. The leftover linguine that I tossed in the sauce made a yummy lunch at work the next day. I highly recommend this recipe.

I made this tonight and the family enjoyed it. I used 1 can of organic low fat mushroom soup. I had not heard of Unox. Did you mean a dry package of Mushroom Knox mix? Should I have used 2 cans of canned soup? It seemed fine the way I did it. I also noticed that your cuttings of onion and the apple seemed larger than diced. Thank you for a great recipe!

I just made this dish and WOW! We all loved it!! The taste was perfect and exactly what I expected from the list of ingredients. The only change I made was using a different pasta (fettuccine). Thank you so much for sharing!
