Cheesegrater Giveaway (time’s up)

The random number that popped up was 144.

That turned out the be Kate! Let me know what address you want me to mail the cheese grater to at Kay@kayotic.nl! Or you can use the contact form at the top of the page.

To answer your question; I seldom to never print recipes because I’m way too chaotic (Kayotic!) to keep them organized. I prefer to leave them in my pc and use a program called C-organizer Professional for that. I’ve categorized everything in there, often with a photo added to the recipe. They’re ready to be printed if need be and it looks real pretty and clean like that; I’m a visual person. I’ll put a larger example behind the cut so you can see how I flip through my own, and other, recipes.

Example:

Because it was such a hit, here’s one more cheese grater giveaway before I’ll move on to greener cooking pastures. It’ll be fun to try and find neat kitchen stuff as special Kayotic Kitchen presents. The fun part (to me), is shopping for it downtown (or in other cities) and taking photos while I’m shopping. It makes the presents and postings a little more special when I can actually show you where I bought it.

Trust me when I say I’ve already seen some really fun, nifty and handy kitchen tools, that I can’t wait to try myself. When I’ll find something fun, I’ll buy an extra one as a giveaway.

One request, though. I always try to balance the recipes I post. I take turns between potatoes, cakes, soups, vegetables, sandwiches and meat recipes. Would you mind letting me know what type of recipes you’d like to see more of here?

I’ll announce the winner here at Tuesday morning! Good luck and a have a great weekend everyone!

More easy meat recipes. I need things that can be thrown in a marinade the night before, then tossed on a pan or something very quickly. My job has really long hours!

I think you’re perfect just the way you are. But I love the traditional Dutch recipes best– they make my Dutch husband smile! Personally, my taste runs towards side dishes and sandwiches! (I adore your egg salad recipe).

Cookies and bars would be great. Cookies seem to vary so much around the world, it would be interesting to see more.

All the recipes are great. I am always on the look out for good soup recipes for those really cold winter days and not so cold spring days.

    Thanks

I’ve enjoyed so many of your recipes already, so I’m quite happy with the current rotation. But with summer arriving, I wouldn’t mind seeing more lighter summer-type dishes, and/or more traditional Dutch dishes. And anything with puff pastry is good with me!

I enjoy reading all of your recipes, but particularly the ‘exotic’ ones like Moroccan Kefta, and I am always looking for more chicken and meat ideas.

My family refers to your site as “Golumpki Gal’s” because everyone here loves that recipe so much which I make with your yogurt salad dressing (the one with the gherkin). And believe me, there are very few recipes that suit both two “meat and potato” guys and two “veggie loving international fare” gals! I will add my voice to the choir of those that say keep your recipe selection as you have it. You offer a richly diverse and healthy set of recipes.

I would, however, love to see you do one posting on dessert cheeses and what fruit you would pair them with. I know the town of Gouda is famous for its Gouda cheese, but I’m sure your town’s inhabitants eat other varieties of cheese too. It would be interesting to have a virtual, gastronomic tour!
