The random number that popped up was 144.

That turned out the be Kate! Let me know what address you want me to mail the cheese grater to at Kay@kayotic.nl! Or you can use the contact form at the top of the page.

To answer your question; I seldom to never print recipes because I’m way too chaotic (Kayotic!) to keep them organized. I prefer to leave them in my pc and use a program called C-organizer Professional for that. I’ve categorized everything in there, often with a photo added to the recipe. They’re ready to be printed if need be and it looks real pretty and clean like that; I’m a visual person. I’ll put a larger example behind the cut so you can see how I flip through my own, and other, recipes.
Example:

Because it was such a hit, here’s one more cheese grater giveaway before I’ll move on to greener cooking pastures. It’ll be fun to try and find neat kitchen stuff as special Kayotic Kitchen presents. The fun part (to me), is shopping for it downtown (or in other cities) and taking photos while I’m shopping. It makes the presents and postings a little more special when I can actually show you where I bought it.
Trust me when I say I’ve already seen some really fun, nifty and handy kitchen tools, that I can’t wait to try myself. When I’ll find something fun, I’ll buy an extra one as a giveaway.
One request, though. I always try to balance the recipes I post. I take turns between potatoes, cakes, soups, vegetables, sandwiches and meat recipes. Would you mind letting me know what type of recipes you’d like to see more of here?
I’ll announce the winner here at Tuesday morning! Good luck and a have a great weekend everyone!

I’d love to see more salads, either hot or cold. I’m a huge vege kick, and have been looking for more healthy salad type recipes that aren’t just based on lettuce. :)
That’s what I like about your site. It’s not just cakes and cupcakes but there’s a really great balance between sweet and savory recipes.
Love this site!
I love your selection of recipes. Keep it coming the way you are doing. I always say..don’t fix what ain’t broken!!! LOL
I adore tools for the kitchen…today I got to use my newest one..a little strawberry huller..it is like a little mini melon scoop with teeth…works amazingly well…love it…and it is so gosh darn cute and tiny…better put it in a safe place! LOL
That cheese grater has me drooling…love different textures of cheese for different uses. I’m crossing my fingers..but I rarely if ever win a gosh darn thing so I’ll continue my search for it in the meantime LOL!
Hmmmm, I love the balance! I think you perfectly even it out between hot main meals, sandwiches and desserts. I know your household love meat, but do you ever cook any vegetarian main courses? That could be interesting. I can’t think of anything else, honest! :)
1. More Suriname food please, since you are the one that introduced it to me.
2. Definitely more of your baking/desserts – Love them!
As everybody above me have told, I like the perfect balance of meals and rotation at this site. Salads, drinks, sandwiches, sweet, meat. No routine and it’s great.
Though, I’d love to see more light meals (this is because the summer is comming) – light desserts, cold soups, intresting salads and drinks.
Kay, thanks fo being here for us :)
I love all of you posts :) Picture posts are my kind of thing ;)
Keep up with Dutch themed foods (since I can easily make them while I live here ;)
More soups I think would be nice. (and snacks! picnic season is so here!) I love going to the park with food and wine and just enjoying the nice weather.
Cakes! The sweet tooth that rules my life says cakes, cakes and more cakes!
Love your blog…check it every day!
With the warmer weather, the first thing that came to mind was a salad. A salad good enough to serve for dinner.
Not that I don’t already love everything you’ve ever posted.
I just love slow-cooked recipes……and cheesy recipes…….and curries……..and anything Dutch……and just anything ’cause I love food!
dessert kay! more dessert plz!!
Some great summer recipes with local produce.
I’d love to see more distinctly regional recipes. We loved crijo-jo!
Is it bad that I too think that you strike a perfect balance with all your recipes? I love your whole-meal-in-one things, either your casseroles or your baked meals. They’re all so good. You know what I enjoy? Seeing the Dutch-specific things in your recipes, either the kind of cheese that you’re using, the difference in the butter, or just the different way that you do potatoes :) I love it all Kay, keep it up :)
Love your site! I’m always looking for great soup recipes, so keep those coming :)
Jennifer
I love your site, Kay! The combination of photography, entries about your hometown/country and, of course, your recipes keep me coming back for more. I think you’re doing a great job in selecting a variety of recipe options so perhaps you can continue in the same vein with emphasis on things that are suitable for picnics & barbeques.
Would love some tips and tricks along with a great recipe or two for making breads. It is something I have yet to master. Thanks and enjoy your weekend!
More cheese, please!
Some more chicken or dessert recipes! Love your website:)
I am always looking for new ways to cook chicken, the only meat my husband seems to eat and I get so bored! So I would love some ideas when it comes to poultry.
Very cool giveaway!
I would love to see more side dish recipes. I am making your raspberry, chocolate, cream cheese brownies today for my daughter-in-law who is expecting her first baby anytime now.
Sally
Yummy desserts are my favorite, but everything always sounds great!
I’d love to see more main dishes.
Veggies, veggies, veggies! Now that I’ve discovered how much better locally grown small farm produce is, we are going nuts over some vegetables in this house – and it’s always nice to learn new ways to cook them!
I love your veggie recipes. I’m trying to eat healthier and those types of recipes are just great.
Thank you.
