Mexican Layered Dip

Nothing beats spending a Friday (or Saturday) evening vegging out on the couch. After I’ve tucked my little guy in, picked up the roughly 7.342 toys scattered around the floor, wiped the peanut butter smudges off of my furniture and clothes, it’s “me” time. “Me time” usually translates to popping a chick flick in the dvd player, opening up a bottle of cold white wine and a big bag…

    Cheese and Onion Butterflies

What to do with only a few lonesome puff pastry sheets? You make Cheese & Onion Butterflies of course! It’s crazy simple and so tasty. Best part; only two puff pastry sheets can go a long way. Play with the ingredients… add some hot chili peppers, dried or fresh herbs. Maybe even some died fruit. Just make the recipe your own! Or be basic like me :)

      Cream Puffs

I’ll often make a huge batch of these pastries when I have some friends over, mostly during the weekend. They’re so savory and easy to whip up. Cream Puffs & white wine = match made in snack heaven. What more can you ask for? You can prepare them ahead of time and just pop them in the oven at the moment supreme. Herbed Bread Sticks

Despite what you might think, nothing is more difficult to me than shooting in direct sunlight. Chicken Puff Samosas

Snack time! In case you haven’t noticed; I’m totally into puff pastry! It’s the perfect party food. Think about it, most people keep a few sheets in their freezer anyway. It’s quick, tasty, can often be made ahead of time and even served hot or cold. On top of that you can stuff them with anything you like; from crab or surimi, minced meat with veggies to curried chicken, veal ragout and everything…

            Parmesan Twist

December is my favorite time of the year, but it’s also the most stressful time of the year when it comes to cooking. I’m hosting a new years party—which I absolutely love to do. Lots of friends, food, cocktails, champagne and laughter. It doesn’t get any better than that in my little world. I usually start preparing things one or two days ahead of time, so I’ll have my hands free…
