Kaytucky Chicken

I have a really fun recipe for you! And easy, too. It’s hardly any work; the oven does the work for you, but it’s a really fun and tasty way to serve chicken for a change. Serve with an Avocado & Fennel Salad, lots of skillet baked potatoes and a little Green Peppercorn Sauce, but that’s mainly because I’m seriously addicted to how the sauce tastes on potatoes. This was absolutely delicious!

    Kay’s Pork Strips

Don’t freak out! It’s me… Kay! *waves* Trust me; I’ve freaked out enough for the both of us when I woke up this morning and found my blog completely inaccessible. Still not sure what happened, but the culprit seemed to be my theme. No warning, nothing. Just like that. Boom. Not having much luck with wordpress ever since the last update. So for now I’ll have to use a different…

      Haddock and Potato Soup

Slowly I’m building quite a ‘what to do with left-over mashed potatoes’ category. Probably because—being the potato junkie that I am—I constantly make way too much of it. You’ll find my Ghanaian peanut soup (it’s absolutely divine!) and not to mention my Potato Crepes there. When I eat fish for dinner, I prefer to eat it with a light white sauce and some mashed potatoes. Carrots and leeks both make a perfect side-dish for fish, but…

        Indonesian Chicken Salad

I’m slightly addicted to the Indonesian kitchen but it’s pretty hard for me to actually post Indonesian recipes to my blog. Mainly because I want everyone—regardless of where on God’s green earth they reside—to be able to recreate my recipes without having to go on wild witch-hunts for special ingredients. When it comes to Indonesian cooking; that’s pretty darn hard to do. Lots of dishes require special spices, spice blends or…

          Stoofvlees Part II

Stoofvlees part II. Part I can be found right here. Sure it was a little cruel to leave you hanging for a full day, but the meat had to marinate! Okay, so I got a little kick out of it as well. What can I say? I have a cruel streak!  Time to cook up a storm now, though! Let me make it up to you.

            Stoofvlees Marinade

I have a confession to make: I love eating beef stew with French fries. Just French fries. Skip the salad or greens, just give me the meat and fries and I’m a happy Dutch girl. It’s my favorite kind of ‘junk food’. We call it “stoofvlees” here. There are tons of different ways to make stoofvlees. It even depends on what part of the Netherlands you live in—in the…
