Is it a Bird? No! It’s Carnival!

J-man goes to Catholic school and today they’re celebrating carnival, just before the onset of Lent. All dressed up, of course. He was wide awake and ready to roll at 6am. Sint Gone, Santa Arrives

St. Nicholas has left the building and has been replaced with colorful Christmas trees, garlands and sparkling lights everywhere. It’s not done in Holland to decorate a Christmas tree before Sinterklaas is gone, so I’ve been a good Dutch girl and waited for him to get back on his big boat and sail off to warmer climes and sunnier places.
