Have I been missing in action or what? No worries, I didn’t just sit here, pick my toes, and be a major slacker. Thing is, for the past week and a half my house looked like it has been struck by a hurricane. And not some half-assed F1 either.
Things really came to a head when my new furniture arrived yesterday. They made me wait for nearly 4 months—I guess they still had to grow the trees—but it was worth the wait: it’s absolutely gorgeous. Pretty as it all is, it also came with an insane amount of plastic wrap and cardboard boxes. I can now make my very own cardboard sculpture. Go me!
Finally it’s all coming together even though the mess is driving me stir crazy (I’m a Virgo. Need I say more?). Still haven’t found the right painting and lamps yet. If you know someone who does amazing abstract acrylic paintings, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
I’m gonna be doing lots of cooking around here in the days to come. ‘Bout time, I say. But for now I’m just gonna sit on my new oversized couch that will take months to get even slightly comfy, and wait for this dinosaur egg to hatch.
Priorities people, priorities!
I love a good burrito. But this was the first time ever I cooked chicken burritos and didn’t use some sort of salsa type of sauce or even avocado, which in my world is inextricably connected to burritos. I smiled when I came back from a trip to the park with J-man and saw this cute van parked there. What a photography moment! There’s an advertisement printed all over, but it’s nothing commercial; it’s a way to invoke people to think about an artisan job such as hammersmith or carpenter. So typically Dutch and big part of why I love my country so much. I think the American…
I do our weekly grocery shopping on Saturday and throw in an extra trip to the market for fresh veggies and fruit on Wednesday morning. But still I find my fridge void of food somewhere around Friday. Those two guys eat me poor! Does that ever happen to you? That you find yourself standing in front of your fridge not knowing what to cook because there isn’t enough of something to…
This ain’t your average cheeseburger, that’s for sure. It’s BBQ season! Finally the snow’s gone and it’s time to get your BBQ on! We fired up the pit. I seasoned the burgers, stuffed them with mozzarella and slapped them on the BGE. Grilled a few Roma tomatoes and onion slices while I was at it, mainly to get them as sweet and tasty as possible. I topped the burgers with the…
