Storyboard Actions Giveaway!

Random.org gave me #38, which is Asha Patel! Drop me a line at Kay@kayotic.nl so we can get you your storyboards!

Because I’m me. Because you’re you. Because it’s rainy here. Because I’m feeling really zen today. Because I’m stuck at home with a sick kid who is trying to take advantage of the situation (and of me feeling sorry for him). Because I’m eating chicken fingers when I shouldn’t be. And because I have nothing better to do with my time anyway…. storyboard giveaway!

Handing out 3 custom-made Photoshop storyboard actions (web size). The winner gets to pick the size, how many photo openings they want, where they want them etcetera etcetera.

Here’s an example of a 2 photo opening board with photos of my kiddo acting all goofy.

– To enter, just leave me a comment. Can be anything: sweet, funny, witty, emotional, your life story, grocery list, divorce papers, anything goes (well, almost anything) just get it all out there in the open. This is me being supportive. Oh wait, no, this is a giveaway! Never mind.

* Only one entry per person and no entries after Monday February 1st, please. I’ll announce the winner later that day!

Note: the actions are for Photoshop only, they don’t work for Elements.

Chili Meatball Casserole

Don’t think I ever asked if you have a weekly ‘clean-out-the-fridge’ dish as well, did I? I personally love ’em, especially with a wind-chill factor of 3°F (- 17°C), like today. No way I’ll go grocery shopping, too much of a wuss for that. Anyway, my dish turned out so good this time, I couldn’t not post it. Usually the vegetables that need to be used up end up in…

Roasted Vegetables & Salami Flatbread

This was probably the best lunch I’ve made in some time. We combined it with a big bowl of my favorite Sweet potato and pepper soup and it was awesome. I’m not very creative when it comes to special lunch recipes—too attached to my basic cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and cucumber sandwich, I guess—but this was something else alright. Think of it as a pizza variation, only way more fulfilling…

Toad in a Hole (with onion gravy)

No idea why British food has such an undeserved bad reputation. Nothing, and I mean nothing on God’s green earth beats a good ole English breakfast. Or a hearty Shepherd’s pie. Or a mellow fish pie. Oh, the many times I’ve craved fish & chips as only the British can make them! Cut those guys some slack, will you! They have a lot of wonderful dishes.

Pulled Pork Recipe Request

I’m craving a pulled pork sandwich, which is kind of strange seeing as I’ve never had a pulled pork sandwich in my life. From what I understand it’s a typical American thing? Southern food maybe?

Curly Kale Hodgepodge (with a twist)

It’s time for hearty, honest and slightly less fattening food! At least for my thighs it is. Here’s a family favorite for your winter hodgepodge collection. You can never have enough of them! It’s a traditional hodgepodge with a slight Kayotic twist. Slight being the understatement of the year. If you don’t like salami, skip this one. Big part of the flavor that makes this hodgepodge so special comes from salami….

Ragu alla Bolognese

I saw this recipe in the June issue of Delicious magazine. Now let me start by saying that after this issue I pretty much abandoned their magazine. I’ll flip through the pages at the supermarket but haven’t bought one since. It’s the over-exposed and totally fake colored food photography they print these days that puts me off and makes me cringe. I just don’t like it anymore. I want…
