Congrats! Please contact me Kay@kayotic.nl, so I can give you detailed instructions how to receive your free copy of Action Station! You will love it just as much as I do, I guarantee you!

I love to make my own Photoshop actions. In fact, over the years I’ve created so many actions I had a hard time keeping them organized, even though I store them in special folders. And that’s the biggest problem most photographers run into when it comes to actions; keeping them organized and easy accesible so you can use them more efficiently.

Then I ran into Action Station; a photoshop action organizer unlike anything I’ve seen before. How did I live without it for so long? Such a simple but effective action script that literally cut my work-time in half. I was so excited, I emailed the people over at 1 click actions to profess my undying love for them and ask to bear their children. Well, not exactly, but you get the idea.

They decided to give away two free copies of Action Stationon Kayotic Kitchen! But that’s not all they’re doing, since there’s a slight chance you won’t win one of the free copies, there’s a special discount for Kayotic Kitchen readers as well.

Let me show you what Action Station is, how it works and why I’ve been completely obsessed with it!

Action Station:

I’ll show you how the action script works for me and what exactly it does, but let me start by saying there’s also a video demo on the 1 click actions website that might be of interest to you.

When you install Action Stationit will show up as an action in your actions palette. See the F2? You can assign a Hotkey to it (and to other actions as well), I’ve used F2. Now you don’t even have to open your actions palette to activate it, you simply press the Hot key you choose.

And this, folks, is where all the magic is. You’ll get this pop up box in front of you. Whether you click the action or use the hotkey, you’ll see this. The Action Set menu hides all your action sets.

Click it and you’ll see a compilation of all the sets you’ve loaded. Choose a set.

The Action Name menu will show you all the actions in that particular set. It’s brilliant! No more scrolling through countless actions finding the right one. You simply choose a set, an action and run it from within Action Station.

For the die-hard action fans among us with a list longer than the dimension of space, there’s also a handy Search feature. Simply type in a keyword; this could be anything, from LightSepia to Sun, Pink or Edit in my case.

And you’ll get a neat little pop up box listing all the actions that contain your search word.

Really, if you’re into actions, this is by far the best way to organize and use them. No more throwing out actions or limiting the amount of sets you load for fear of your list getting cluttered. And no, I don’t have an invested interest in the company, they’re not paying me to say this and we actually purchased our copy!

- To enter the contest let me know what type of actions you like to use!

* Only one entry per person and no entries after Friday 10am CEST, please. I’ll announce the winners later that day!

Discount Offer:

For those of you eager to try the action—and believe me when I say it’s worth every single dollar—1 Click Actions is offering the readers of Kayotic Kitchen a smashing 33% discount. All you have to do is order your copy of Action Station and use the code “kayotic” (all lowercase, no quotes). The code is valid until the end of October.

Note: Action Station requires Photoshop CS2 or higher! So unfortunately it cannot be used with Elements. The software is both Windows and Mac compatible.

I have TOOOOO many actions!! I’ve downloaded many, then learned how to make my own…….actions save a lot of time, but when you’re constantly scrolling through looking for those actions, sometimes it feels like you could just redo it manually! This would be very, very helpful :)
